The toolkit is a joint effort by the United Nations Human Settlements Programme Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific (UN-Habitat ROAP) and the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR) Asia Pacific Secretariat in partnership with the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation Disaster Management Centre (SDMC). The Governments of India, Nepal and Pakistan rendered a wide range of support. The Toolkit benefitted from technical inputs from ADB Nepal, UNDP India, UNESCO Pakistan, UN-Habitat Nepal and UN-Habitat Pakistan, WHO Nepal and the Nepal Risk Reduction Consortium (NRRC).
