In Nepal today, significant humanitarian challenges remain, three years since the signing of a peace agreement that ended the civil conflict. A significant number of people are still in need of humanitarian assistance in particular the severely food insecure - with a larger group existing close to the margins. Any external shock, such as floods, or increase in prices, increases their vulnerability dramatically.
